Dan Scalas
Dan Scalas recently received his Bachelors of Science degree in BioResources and Agricultural Engineering from California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo. In addition to Dan’s studies at Cal Poly he was involved in two major projects; a 2’x3’x16’ model hydraulic flume designed and built by Dan and five team members specifically for the Cal Poly Civil Engineering department where they received an award from the university for best capstone class project, and designed and built an apparatus for the research of washing and recycling PVC irrigation pipe. His interest in water resources and management has brought him to Jackson Soil and Water. Dan kicked off his first week as a camp counselor for Forest and Range Day Camp, and loved working with the kids. He is excited to work with Jackson Soil and Water and foresees many great projects in the future.
