Come learn about the thin living soil layer that supports life on earth! This exciting two evening course will cover soil formation and parent material, a history of soil management and its effects on civilizations, water and nutrient cycles, soil texture and structure, pH, the soil food web, how to understand your soil test results, fertilization and various methods to protect and manage your soil. There are several hands-on portions of the class as well.
Please bring a handful of soil to class.
Because the District is supported by Jackson County taxpayers, we are able to offer this valuable course free of charge. However, seating is limited and pre-registration is required. If you register and cannot come, please let us know so someone else can come.
